I’m Samantha I’m the President and this will be my 2nd year playing with GFWTF. I am married with have 5 kids. I knew nothing about football before playing last year besides the fact that my boys have played and I was the sideline mom. I have fallen in love with it and playing has became a passion of mine. Not only is playing a fun way to stay active but the sisterhood that is built on the field is one of a kind. I have gained so many friendships and memories that I will forever cherish. I super excited to have our returning players along with several new ones joining us this year. It’s going to be an amazing season! ONE team ONE family!
Hi I'm Heather! I'm the VP and a founding member of our league. This will be my 2nd year playing for GFWTF. My husband and I have 4 active children who play in our local sports community. One of the reasons I wanted to pursue this is I love football and sports and wanted to challenge myself. I had pretty good understanding of the rules and positions as my son had played but learned an incredible amount by the end of the season. What I found was an incredible sisterhood and community. We push and encourage each other on and off the field. We get to play hard and raise some money for our local youth programs and have fun doing it!
Hi! My name is Stephanie AKA Bubbles. I am the new secretary for the GFWTF board. I was at the very first meeting when we started the team. I absolutely love football. I played both offensive and defensive line last season. I can't wait to be out on the field again. I'm excited to be serving the team and community in my new position. I have lived in the Granite Falls area for 9 years (the whole time we've lived in this state). I am a mom to teenage boys. We have been involved in several things over the years. I was a Cub Scout den leader for 5 years. Both of my boys played youth football for GFYAA. My youngest started as a peewee and now plays at the high school. You'll probably see both of them helping out at our practices. My favorite part of playing football is tackling! I work nights as a truck driver and really feel that my job helps me with the strength I use on the line. If I can move a 3000 pound dolly, I can move a 200+ pound woman. Lol. Looking forward to meeting all the new players and welcoming everyone into the family and this incredible sisterhood. Let's go Tigers!!
My name is Andrea Hagman, I am one of the founders of GFWTF and serve as Treasurer.
Any time I talk about GFWTF, I always tell people how I am amazed at how strong (both mentally and physically) these women are, and the sorority they have built is amazing. While I do not play on the field, I do cheer very loudly from the stands (or merch booth). I am proud to be a part of such an amazing group.
On the personal side of things, I am a proud mother of 4, with ages ranging from 24 to 8 and they are my life and my priority. By my side is my husband Nick, who just shakes his head every time I tell him what my calendar looks like for the week or month, he then proceeds to tell me I have done it to myself. Personally, I love my crazy life. I serve on two other non-profit boards in addition to this one, and already have a full schedule keeping up with the kid’s activities, life is hectic, and I love it.
Hello! My name is Julie Blanco and my husband Jeff and I have 3 boys. Jeyren, 13, Kayden Jon, 11 and Logan, 7. We moved to Granite Falls almost 4 years ago. I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and moved to Washington in 2001 to attend college. I joined GF WTF to help support my boys who play youth football. I am thankful to have learned more about the game that my kids love and to be a part of an amazing group of women.
They say "quarterback" is just another word for "leader," but I think it's also another word for "tough." Because I'm the one who powered through a swollen hand at the last jamboree, and still managed to throw a touchdown (and maybe a few winks at the opposing team, just to keep them guessing).
Now, I'm leading the charge on fundraising, because if there's one thing I know, it's that a team needs fuel – both on the field and in the bank account. Think donuts, car washes, casino nights, bingo for team bonding... you name it, I'm planning it! And I'm bringing the energy, the spirit, and the determination to make sure we're ready to dominate, both on and off the field.
Let's go, team! 🏈 🍩 🚗 🎲
Hey Team, I'm Danielle! This is my second season with GFWTF, and I’m here to bring some no-so-serious football skills… and wildly inappropriate jokes along the way. Unlike that time I accidently signed up for indoor soccer, I chose to join the team to spend quality time with my bestie! Position: Lineman (or wherever they put me) Hometown: Lochsloy (Granite/Lake Stevens limbo) Fun Fact: I’m excellent at planning and starting things, but they usually end up in my Doom Room where ADHD hopes and dreams go to die… I also really love BINGO especially when I win What I’m Known For: My laugh. (I’ve also recently unlocked a new level of silent laughing) Depending on who you ask, I sound like: Squidward A Dolphin An Evil Witch SpongeBob Secret Talent: I can forget what I’m saying/doing smack dab in the middle. Julie has video proof… Life Goal: To add quality to people’s lives and society. Life can get hard and heavy, it’s important to remember to have fun and simply exist. Despite having no real football skills, knowledge, or experience, I’m thoroughly invested in our lovely Tiger Team. It’s strengthened my current relationships and created new friendships. It’s given me the much needed opportunity to be of service and accountable to others. Plus, it’s cheaper than therapy… Bullshit with friends, knock bitches down…And get celebrated for it! Once upon of time, that would have landed me in jail
Hi, I'm Dana. I'm the one who's always got the playlist ready to go. I'm not the loudest one on the field, but I'm definitely the one who's secretly jammin' out in my helmet. Think of me as the introverted hype woman, the one who brings the energy without needing to shout it from the mountaintops. ⛰️
Originally from the land of waterfalls and flannel (Snoqualmie Valley, you know!), I've been rockin' the Granite scene for a decade (almost two!). Last year was my first taste of real football (powder puff doesn't count, right?), and I'm hooked! 🏈
When I'm not crushing it on the line, you can find me coaching the next generation of soccer stars. (Yes, I play the other kind of "fútbol" too!) ⚽
My goal this year? To be a rock-solid wall on the line, knowing my position like the back of my hand. And maybe, just maybe, learn a few dance moves from the sidelines. 💃
So, come say hi! I'm always down for a good time, a good laugh, and a good game.
Let's go, Tigers! 🐯
